AP-Yahoo finds racism behind Obama low poll numbers

pat ess

This AP-Yahoo poll set out to discover why Obama is not getting a better showing in the tracking polls. The biased assumption is he should be ahead because Republicans are due for a thrashing. Hold on to your hats, you won't believe this, the poll discovered latent racism so deeply-rooted people are themselves unaware of it is behind the poor showing. It might even cost Obama the White House. By selecting negative adjectives or by giving yourself away via "ground-breaking" methodology of responding to pictures of blacks and whites, the poll concludes :

Statistical models derived from the poll suggest that Obama's support would be as much as 6 percentage points higher if there were no white racial prejudice.

The survey broke ground by incorporating images of black and white faces to measure implicit racial attitudes, or prejudices that are so deeply rooted that people may not realize they have them. That test suggested the incidence of racial prejudice is even higher, with more than half of whites revealing more negative feelings toward blacks than whites.

I know white racism is out there but this contrived poll is grossly overstating the problem and it is incendiary. These people will stoke race wars if Obama loses. And what about this "latent", "implicit" racism among whites? How long before some ugly legislative measures will be undertaken to correct this? See you at the reeducaton camp.

p.s. Black support for Obama is virtually unanimous.

Considering the verbage being spewed forth this week by The Left, it is almost as if they are expecting Obama to lose and are organizing for 'The Aftermath'. Never do they speak of honest disagreements with Obama's proposals - everything has to be about race. Oddly, it is ONLY the left - including Barack Obama himself - who have mentioned race through this entire election season.

In the event McCain loses, maybe we should push the idea that it means America suffers from ageism and sexism.

Footnote to Obama: Sarah Palin doesn't look like any of those guys on the dollar bill either!
