This morning, I had the unpleasant visual of Geri Jenkins from The California Nurses Association being interviewed by Bret Bauer on Fox News. The organization has put up a truly disgusting ad regarding McCain's health and the possibility of a President Sarah.
You can access the video at the following link to their site: http://www.calnurse.org/
This is a union organization for nurses with different chapters throughout the country. It is also a strong proponent of universal healthcare.
In response to the exchange between Jenkins and Bauer this morning, I wrote the following to the California Nurses Association with a direct address to the video and to Ms. Jenkins:
After viewing Geri Jenkins' interview on Fox News this morning, I wish to point out a few things directly to Ms. Jenkins herself.
Ms. Jenkins, you are not John McCain's nurse nor do you have the capacity to diagnose his condition.
We have known for many years that Sen. McCain has been dealing with skin cancer. No news there. His condition has not obstructed his capacity in which to serve as a U. S. Senator, and I have every confidence that he can serve as our president. Furthermore, where were you when we demanded to see former President Clinton's health records that were completely sealed from view?
The video your organization is running is disgusting and false. Gov. Palin did not charge victims of rape for rape kits. That lie has long been put to rest along with the librarian non-issue (and other little deceptive gems your organization added). Apparently, The California Nurses Association has not caught up with the truth or bothered looking into it. Continuing such smears and complete falsehoods against Gov. Palin serves as nothing more than a desperate ploy to foist your candidate upon the rest of us at all costs - including the costs of having a universal healthcare plan that has proven disastrous for millions where it has been implemented.
Ms. Jenkins, I wish to add that in your appearance this morning on television, you were quite rude. In addition to interrupting the host, you could not engage in a decent discussion - only non-stop running of the mouth. Besides trying to establish yourself as being more competent than McCain's physicians, you were just rude to the host - period.
Perhaps you should seek medical attention for the diarrhea-of-the-mouth phenomena from which you suffer before pretending to be an expert on McCain's health. I can also assure you that you are not an expert on the health of this nation - that despicable video your organization is running is proof.
Sincerely,
Lisa A. Ruth
